Diversity in India

Enriching Diversity of India

What's the first thing which strikes your mind when you first hear the word India? Or a slogan Jai Hind or Vande Matram? this was the first question which came to my mind before writing this post. I am sure each one of us would be having a unique sensation and feeling about our beloved nation, for some it might be Saffron coloured sacrifice of our freedom fighters, for some it may be the Green colored Natural beauty and others might find it in the White peace our nation has carried all over the world for such a long period of time. Yet there are further more ways in which our nation can be glorified. This is what is meant by the term diversity, a state of being unique or varied as our opinions are diversity.

As you might have got a glimpse of what diversity is i.e, it is a state of being varied like if we just step outside our home just a bit we will find people having different occupations belonging to different places like one might be from Nagaland another from Mizoram or Meghalaya, if one knows to speak Gujarati other might be perfect in Marathi or Bengali. That's a very rare-common thing you would find in india. Here we are gonna discover how this diversity has so far added so much of significance to our lives and helps us determine who we today really are.

Types of diversity in india

Diversification can be done on many bases but there are basically four types of diversities we can most prominently  find in india

  • Geographical diversity
  • Cultural diversity
  • Religious diversity
  • Economic diversity

Geographical Diversity

India has mainly consists of six types of geographical divisions : the Himalayas, the Northern plains, the Great Indian desert, Coastal Plains, Indian Peninsula and Islands.

The Himalayas

The Himalayas are responsible for the flow of perennial rivers and its tributaries not only in India but in neighbouring nations as well like Ganga, Indus, Brahmaputra and their respective tributaries and distributaries.
The Great Indian Desert

Lives of the people are largely influenced by the geographical location at which they dwell. For instance people in Kashmir mainly eat meat as it helps to keep them warm in extreme cold weather conditions while people in West Bengal are known to eat rice and fish mainly.

Cultural Diversity

Food diversity across India

Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well. India is country rich in culture heritage. Here you can find people of different believes together living as one. That's what makes it unique in its own nature, right? You may find one celebrating Durga Pooja one day and Pongal another. You may find Delhiites being obsessed over South Indian Dosa or Hyderabadi Birayni.

Ladakh festival : 2019-2020

There are 23 official languages mentioned in Indian Constitution making India home of several linguistically different people. Not just the languages but folk dances, folk songs and music are too integral part of the culture in India. Ladakhi dance Shondol holds a record in Guinness Book of World Records for being largest group dance.

Economic Diversity

In different regions of India different economic activities are practised bases geographical and climate conditions of the place. In Northern Plains most prominent occupation practised is agriculture while in near the Coastal areas fishing is usually preferred. Different regions of India meet different requirements of our nation and  make it work like a single unit.

Konkan Coastal Plain

In Ladakh where agriculture is not suitably supported by cold climatic conditions, people rear sheep and Cashmere goats. Ladakh is well known for the quality of pashmina wool which is exported all across the world.

Religious Diversity

Religious Diversity in India

Our country India is a home to many religions. Indian constitution permits any individual to preach and spread own religion with harmony. Some of the major religions practised in india are : Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism and Zoroastrianism. Due to this religious diversity, festival celebration goes on almost throughout an year.
There are some festivals which are celebrated by all of
us with never ending enthusiasm, namely Independence Day and Republic Day. These festivals resemble the love and pride for the nation.

Significance of the diversity

Diversity adds variety to our lives and helps us becoming open minded. Diversity puts forward various
opinions, beliefs, customs and culture before us and teaches us two most important lessons : Tolerance and Universal Acceptance.

Today, each of us maybe be lying in different parts of the country, following different beliefs and having different opinions but atlast what makes us united, is love for our nation. Each country has its own challanges and problems, India too! It's true that India faced many challenges but which country doesn't? If someone can make India a paradise or land of dreams then it's us!

Think You Know Java? These 5 Questions Say Otherwise

Hello everyone! Hope you’re sipping your coffee just right—because I’ve brewed something equally strong for your brain. Welcome to a blog that dives into 5 deceptively tricky Java interview questions —the kind that test not just what you know, but how well you understand Java under the hood. If you, like me, share a love-hate relationship with this language, this blog might just hit home. So, let's get started... Question 1: What will be the output of the following code? Why? class Parent { static void staticMethod() { System.out.println("Static method in Parent"); } private void privateMethod() { System.out.println("Private method in Parent"); } void show() { staticMethod(); privateMethod(); } } class Child extends Parent { static void staticMethod() { System.out.println("Static method in Child"); } private void privateMethod() { System.out.println("Pr...

Are we happy enough?

Hey Mitra! how's everything? What was that hilarious thing that made you laugh absurdly today? Who was the person who filled your day with all the love in the world just by a small act of kindness? Let me reverse the question how many lives did you fill with positivity or humbleness today ? If the answer is none, then this blog may have something to add  to your life. Let me share with you an interesting event that just took place. Two children were playing a game which they called "How many". Rules were simple, one had to ask the questions by adding "how many" like, " how many planets are there in our solar system ?" Another had to answer. The game was quite interesting  and suddenly a question appeared "how many muscles does it take to smile?" The child seeking the answer smiled curiously and tried to locate all the muscles involved in smiling right then at the moment and his friend helped him too in a manner like," ohh look, there...

Ofc you do remember...why not take a dive into what special we had back then TV shows Netflix and all is cool but do you remember when all you needed was Shaka laka BOOM BOOM pencil or Ben 10 Omnitrix. When you waited for whole week just for that one hour episode of M.A.D. When you internally wept when Ishan from Tare Zameen Par was sent to hostel and jumped out of joy when Aamir Khan entered singing Bam Bam Bole! Life right then was so simple ugh? Ohh did I not mention about Shinchan, Doraemon, Noddy, DBZ and on and on. I guess list wouldn't end any soon. Sharat! Uff. The Games we played You may have played PUBG, COD, Free Fire or Among Us in recent times right? But what about playing Pakdam Pakdai with your paltan Or Barafpani?
