Ahhh! You must have watched one of those movies where a witty guy breaks into a server and extracts the most vulnerable information with just some clicks and code and we say system is hacked! Ofcourse, it is not as easy as it appears and breaking into any system without permission is illegal but what if I tell you large tech giants may pay you good enough for breaching in!
What is Ethical Hacking
Break the stereotypes that Hackers are conventionally bad guys who run after a system to create misery and havoc. Ethical Hacking can be understood as breaching in the system using its vulnerability with the permission of the system owner.
Ethical Hacking helps in improving the vulnerabilities of the system by stating the weak areas of the server and suggesting the ways to improve it. So, Ethical Hackers are good guys who can help you find some major bugs in the server and append it to make the server even stronger.
Types of Hackers
Black hat hackers are the bad guys who breach, break into the system without consent or permission for fulfilment of their personal malicious intent. They do not follow any code of ethics. Black hat hacking isn't an legitimate activity as it involves various violation of cyber laws.

Recently Domino's,a Pizza delivery American restaurant became a victim of illegal data hacking and data of 180 Millions order got leaked which included phone numer, address, name and other details of customers.
White Hat Hacker White hat hackers are the good guys who search for vulnerability in a system or server and give suggestive measures to improve bugs. They are often called as Ethical Hackers. Major tech giants like Facebook and Google arrange a competitive bug finding evet where Ethical Hackers from world wide can take part ande
earn rewards starting from $10,000 and above.
Grey Hat Hacker
Here is another category which is neither as malicious as Black hat Hacker nor upto the standards of Ethical Hacker. This lies somewhere between, a White hat Hacker is an individual who might break some laws and may not follow the ethnicity code but doesn't serve the malicious intent as that of Black hat Hacker.

Grey Hat Hackers have been known to be associated with FBI for several cases investigation although it is not legal to practice Grey Hat hacking. Once Apple Inc. denied FBI the access of a shooter's phone due its consumer friendly policy but a grey hat hacker helped FBI gaining the vulnerable information.

With the emerging era of globalisation and advancement in technology various threats, malware and bugs have also evolved over the passage of time, so it becomes very essential for the user to become aware of the possible threats and attack to privacy in order to build a responsive counter defence system.
